In this online simulation, students try to run a successful food truck in the city of Boomtown. Most of our simulations are sourced from Harvard Publishing. Students experience the pressure of decision-making under uncertainty in a risk-free environment. Information is generally plentiful, yet incomplete. Based on this, the student must make a set of decisions (eg where to invest money, or how to position a product) and then period results are computed and shared with the student, who then makes another set of decisions. Typically, background information is provided together with a data set for the organisation. Our simulations give students an opportunity to play the role of a decision-maker trying to achieve some objective, generally over a number of period. The simulations may be hosted by Mashauri or we can run them for your university either online or offline. Join one of our simulation workshops from Harvard and get real experiential learning.įeel what it is like as a startup leader faced with tough decisions - and then experience the results of that decision.
